The area we wish to examine is within the Site contents. This is to be found at the top right-hand side of the homepage. This presents a drop down menu. Click on House Prices Index. Alternatively you can go in via Site Tools - Your House Price. This is on the left hand side of the homepage.
This immediately brings up the Nationwide House Prices Site. This site deals with a full range of matters relating to house prices.
The Monthly and Quarterly review are recognised as one of the leading authorities on house price movements and forecasts. It presents a review of the previous months figures and then computes new quarterly and annual figures in the light of these new figures.
More importantly, there follows the latest economic predictions for the immediate period ahead, and the following year.
The Historical Data will allow you to view previously published monthly and quarterly press releases. You can download and view house price data of your own choice. The monthly and quarterly reviews are simple drop down menus from which you merely select the appropriate date.
The house price data is presented in 12 different variations of property. Each one is offered with an appropriate time scale in relation to the statistics. Examples are Flats (post 1991) and Older Properties (post 1973).
