ProblemNeighbours

Only the British would come up with a website like this. The mere fact that other members of the human race are anywhere near our backyards is an affront to our obsession with homes and how they must be as castle like as possible. Or, to put it in the words of the website itself: ‘ProblemNeighbours was formed to offer a unique reference point on how to deal with noisy or inconsiderate neighbours.'

Created by John Rowlinson, the managing director of the PtS Property Group, ProblemNeighbours exists to provide the great put upon British public with all the means necessary (save arms) to deal with ‘neighbours staying up all night', ‘barking dogs' and those using ‘inappropriate language in front of your children.' At the time of writing there are more than seventy articles on the site. On the left of the homepage you'll find several categories, from Be A Good Neighbour to Resolving Issues, Respecting Neighbours to Taking Action. Click on any of these to access the articles.

As with most websites of this nature, ProblemNeighbours offers plain ‘do unto others' common sense about getting along with your fellow (neighbourly) man. However, its true usefulness is in making the genuinely hassled aware of the kind of practical and legal support they can expect if faced with a problem. And now, if you'll excuse us, we have a garden fence to argue over.
