Open House London
Open House London is an annual event that takes place over a weekend during September (17 -18 September 2011), opening Londoners' eyes to the architecture surrounding them. With 700 events planned across the city, there are architectural walks and talks, as well as houses to visit. Architects and designers will be on hand at various venues to share their insight and ideas.
ONLINE SEARCH
Use the online search to find buildings to visit, either by building name, architect, type, period or location. A printed programme is available for £4.50 inc p&p from the Open House Shop. Admission is free for all events; you just need to find out which buildings you want to visit as pre-booking is necessary at some venues. The charity is looking for volunteers to help out over the weekend, details of which are on the site.
