Hunkydory Home excels at high quality handmade lampshades and cushions using unusual, funky fabrics. The collection started simply by selling lampshades, but has since branched out to include clocks, toys, kitchen accessories, wall art, gifts and cards.

RETRO INSPIRATION

The inspiration for its retro designs came from the colourful, swirling and bold patterns of the 50s, 60s and 70s. There are lampshades to match most room settings, whether you are after a retro feel, some shabby chic or something for a nursery or child's bedroom.

The fabrics that Hunkydory Home uses are exclusive and bought in small batches so you know that you are buying into something original. One of our favourites is the Rainbow Retro lampshade, the full spectrum of colours swirling round.

FUNKY ACCESSORIES

Accessories follow a similar theme and add an unusual touch of retro style to the room. A red Happy Hot Dog Clock, the Blossom & Bill Tray in the Kitchen section and brilliantly illustrated canvases in the Children's section make for some fun browsing.

There is a nice section, ‘Meet Our Makers' where you can read interviews with some of the designers at HunkydoryHome. An interesting and original website that is anything but bland.
