Divertimenti

Since it opened its first shop in 1963, Divertimenti has been one of the best sources for professional-quality cooking equipment and beautiful hand-made tableware.

EASY TO NAVIGATE

Its site is very simple to navigate. Use Search for a Product on the left-hand-side and refine your search by keyword, category and price range. On all pages, click on Here to browse or use the drop-down Select a Category box to go to an area in which you are specifically interested.

SPECIAL FEATURES

Divertimenti Collection comprises 34 pages of the company's core range, from the fabulously glamorous brushed metal Soda Syphon, to possibly the best garlic press in the world ever, to the Good Grips press.

COOKWARE FROM DELIA

Divertimenti's association with Delia Smith goes back to the 1970s, when most of us still thought a tagine was a dance step. Look here for equipment from her television series, from the great-looking nutmeg grater, to the virtually indestructible SKK pots and pans.

ALL THE ESSENTIALS

Essentials Collection is finely honed from years of selling high-quality cookware. For products that look good and work hard, this selection is exemplary. Look out for the party-size lasagna dishes, fiendish poultry shears, and Sabatier carving knives that are robust enough to last through a lifetime of carving roasts, paring vegetables, and peeling fruit.

MEDITERRANEAN STYLE

Mediterranean Collection is one of Divertimenti's signature looks, indeed they were one of the first companies to introduce this kind of brightly-coloured pottery to the UK. Provençal blue and green tableware is justifiably a classic, and the best part of it is that it's dishwasher-safe. The Solimene range in bright yellow, blue, and a pinkish-red is cheerful enough to make you rediscover breakfast as a lifestyle choice. And it's so much easier buying it from Divertimenti than cramming it into your carry-on luggage.

OTHER FEATURES

The easiest place to find a present for a foodie is in the Gift Collection. Don't miss the Daube pot, Pentola paella pans, and the distinctive Square poet plates.
