West Egg

Louisa Blackmore launched West Egg in 2011, specialising in the restoration and revamping of antique furniture, as well as sourcing a mixture of vintage home accessories.

CHARMING & UNIQUE FURNITURE

This is a lovely site; well put together, pretty and uncluttered. Louisa sources local pieces so the company retains a sense of British quirkiness and heritage but she also searches out vintage French pieces and decorative Chinese ceramics, lending an eclectic feel to the West Egg collection. Louisa's magpie eye will pick up anything from vintage trunks, tallboys, tables, armoires and chests. Each item is then lovingly restored, creating an entirely unique piece of furniture.

CUSHIONS & VINTAGE ACCESSORIES

In addition to all this, West Egg has an excellent range of hand-finished cushions and other interior accessories from artisan maker, Lucinda Nicol, as well as a wonderful range of antique prints, wire baskets, ceramics, kitchen and tableware items and more.

SOURCEBOOK

Should you be looking for something specific (maybe for a shoot, or for an interior design project) West Egg has set up a SourceBook service. Quick, free and easy to use, simply submit a sourcebook request, including a description, dimensions and budget for what you are looking for. West Egg will then do their best to find relevant matches from reputable dealers. You then receive a Top Matches email with any relevant matches, all personally verified by West Egg.

WORKSHOPS

With her experience of chalk paints and painting furniture in soft colour tones, Louisa runs regular workshops in London and Essex (see the website for details). These workshops are a fun and informal way of learning to use chalk paints, waxes and other materials required for furniture painting.

Lastly, for some design and interiors inspiration, head to the excellent West Egg Blog. Louisa really has thought of everything.
