La Maison Couture is a luxury home and lifestyle browsing site that provides a carefully selected range of goods available on the internet and presents them in a unique online environment.

VIRTUAL DEPARTMENT STORE

This unusual site is great fun to browse through. Presented as 17th century château, La Maison Couture takes the form of a virtual house or department store through which you can browse it's many ‘departments' by scrolling over the windows of the façade. There's the Bedrooms department, a Parfumerie, a Crystal Dining Room, a Tea Room, a Chocolate Parlour and a Flower Hall and, within each, a choice selection of branded products from the best online suppliers. Each ‘department' is presented as such and, like the house itself, shown as a proper room, over which you can run you mouse to choose the product you are interested in. As an example, when you run your mouse over the Pillow on the bed in the Bedrooms section, you are given a list of products (Duvets, Pillow, New Zealand Wool), and when you click on one of these, a whole selection of images and links through to the best Duvet websites or Pillow suppliers pops up. It's really that easy.

THE BEST OF THE BEST

The suppliers are naturally the best of the best, so within the Lingerie section, you'll find Agent Provocateur, Myla and Julianne and within the Dining Room, you'll find China by Vera Wang, Lighting by Waterford and Crystal glasses by Marc Jacobs. If you are after a brand in particular, or just wish to see a list of the brands available, you can do so. You can also search for a particular product, recommend a product and see what's new to the range with the click of the mouse - of course, all of this can be done from the comfort of your own home, which makes shopping a lot easier than slogging off to a real department store.
