Watercolour & Drawings Art Fair

The Watercolour & Drawings Art Fair takes place from 3rd to 7th February 10 at a new venue, The Science Museum, London, where several thousand pictures will be offered for sale, spanning every style and period from the 17th Century to contemporary.

For collectors, this is an event in the calendar that is a must. Over 70 galleries exhibit works on two floors of 6 Burlington Gardens. You can view a complete list of exhibitors on the site, which gives you access to contact details and sample pictures.

Featuring pictures dating from 17th Century to today, you will find works drawn by hand, in ink, pencil, crayon, chalk, pastel, charcoal, gouache and watercolour. Modern Works on Paper presents a wider range of original art on paper, including prints, photographs and posters and Artist's Books, all from the 20th and 21st Centuries.

All the art is for sale, at prices ranging from £250 to £150000. Every picture has been vetted by a committee of museum experts for value and authenticity and is labelled with full details including the price. Pictures bought at this friendly event can be taken away on the day.

If you're not up to buying a work of art, then consider the Fair's renowned and unusual catalogue. Every gallery exhibiting at the Fair has a page to show one of the pictures they are showing at the Fair. These pages can be torn off and used as postcards. Costing £8 for more than 70 postcards, it seems churlish not to dip into your pocket and set yourself up with a good store of cards to last a year. The £10 ticket to the Fair gives you £2 off the catalogue.
