Cologne & Cotton was well ahead of the game when it opened its first shop in 1989 selling bed linen. It was one of the first companies to give bath and bed linen a makeover. The rest is history, with a number of other companies springing up over the years in imitation. It has a number of shops in London, Brighton, Cheltenham and Leamington Spa.

CRISP LINEN

Cologne & Cotton has an elegant website where you can browse and buy its collection of bed, bath and nursery linen, table linen, cologne and candles. Crisp linen with the requisite number of thread counts can be found in whites and pastel shades. Choose candy stripes or plump for pure linen. Blankets include waffle, mohair throws and merino. The charming toile de jouy cotton filled quilts in blue or red would give a bedroom an instant makeover. You can also buy duvets and pillows, along with a small selection of nightdresses and pyjamas.

Linen guests towels can sometimes be a difficult thing to find. Not here though as there are waffle weave and linen ones to choose from. For the nursery, there are bear, bee and farmyard prints. Cot sized cashmere blankets are the byword in baby luxury but the pastel plaid blankets look great too.
