WEADA

The West of England Antique Dealers' Association (WEADA) represents 70 professional antique dealers in Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire and publishes a free full colour guide listing all its members and useful information relating to the trade.

ANTIQUES GALORE

Each antique dealership registered on the site is given its own landing page where you can browse a wide range of antiques and decorative accessories. There are a huge range of categories listed down the left hand side of the site, covering everything from Antique Ceramics or Boxes to Antique Textiles, Upholstery, Furniture or Silver, and much, much more. Click on a category and a list of items offered by different antique dealer pops up with a thumbnail image and a brief description next to each. Click for more details on the price, provenance and contact details of the dealer if you are interested in buying something.

To browse dealers, just use the search bar on the top right hand corner of the homepage, or click on a name - they are all listed alphabetically - to enjoy a rich hunting ground for antiques. Visitors can even view the latest stock uploaded to the site by clicking on a link at the top of the homepage. In addition, WEADA organises an annual Antiques and Fine Art Fair.

BUYING ANTIQUES

WEADA's long term aim is to promote the interests of the antique trade in the west of England, build and maintain confidence and develop contacts between trade and private buyers, who visit members via this site. WEADA publishes a complimentary, full colour comprehensive Guide to Buying Antiques, which gives information about its members, together with useful information on shipping, insurance and accommodation in the region.

Apply for the guide on the site homepage. Those visiting the area can call the office for more information on travel links and local hotels and restaurants in the area. Meanwhile, antique dealers can find out more about membership to WEADA online.
