Use the tabs at the top of the page to get started. The total index of dealers in fine art worldwide is organised alphabetically by Names, then by Cities (countries, followed by cities, in fact), then by Specialities. Fairs are listed by the month, with details of exhibitors who will be present. Associations are listed alphabetically, some with onward links to their own websites.

SPECIAL FEATURES

The Art World is almost useful area of the website, offering Art Press, with a mass of onward links to media dealing with art matters; Auction Houses (which lists only the London big four); Art Resources, another good list of websites; Art Data, websites through which to track auction and sale prices; Appraisal, suggesting who to contact; Insurance & Law, also with a brief list of online resources; and Museums, another good list of online links to explore.

The homepage has a few other areas to entice you, not least Art Tour, which gives you a virtual tour of the Xavier Hufkens gallery in Belgium. It takes a little time to load and requires the QuickTime plug-in, which is available free, provided you have enough RAM.
Note: a useful shortcut for picking out the British-based websites is to use the 'Edit' button at the top of your screen, select 'Find (on this page)' and then enter 'UK' in the search box provided. This will highlight all appearances of the letters 'UK' throughout the text, including all those instances where the URL ends '.co.uk', a quicker route than reading through the entire list. You will find that you can still scroll the page behind the search-window normally.
