UKauctioneers brings the world of fine art and antique auctions to your finger tips. This web-based auction site allows visitors to view and bid for paintings, porcelain, clocks and other decorative items from the comfort of their armchair.

UKauctioneers have brought together the catalogues, (which can be viewed online or as PDFs) of many regional auction houses throughout the UK with many outstanding antiques on sale.

There is a good database of auction houses, with full details of where to find them, split into the various regions of the UK. There is a search facility for all lots on offer, a calendar of forthcoming auctions and a market place for lots which did not sell at previous events.

To take part, visitors must register on the site. Step 2 is to create an Agent, an online personal assistant, which once provided with the details of your interest will send all relevant information on upcoming lots by email.

Alternatively visitors can use the 'lot search' by entering key words and then searching by catalogue, by auction house or by region and date of auction.

The site provides full details of how to bid online and to pay for and collect iterms which have been purchased. The results of the auction sales are also available online.

Registering is free and the site is free to browse and search. The My Agent service has a 28 free trial and then costs £10 for an annual subscription.
