Florence & Florence is a charming site offering second-hand or vintage homeware and accessories which have been lovingly restored by Christine Florence and her daughter, Annie.

ABANDONED TREASURES

Launched in March 2010, Florence & Florence is a very new business, but has already been picked up widely in the press as a rich source of antiques and abandoned treasures. These are divided on the site into categories covering Baking/Cooking/Kitchen, Furniture/Furnishings, Dinner Parties/Tea-time and Other Essentials. Within these, visitors to the site can scroll down large-scale, clear images of the products featured.

GROWING COLLECTION

The collection is growing every day, with plenty to tempt, from the old-fashioned wood and metal whisk or 1960s ‘Wedgewood' coffee pot to the decorative glass lidded jar, or black cine-camera box - but more items are being added as they are found and restored. Each item is marked with a unique Florence & Florence FF/number on the label, which is then archived as it is sold.

VINTAGE LOOK

Pieces include cushions and bags made by Christine Florence from re-loved fabric, glamourous dining and tea tableware such as old Sheffield silver-plated cutlery, candelabras, cake stands and crockery. Watch out for the sets of old penguin books in Other Essentials, which, like the rest of the collection, come beautifully wrapped as standard, making them a great gift. Everything is sourced in the UK and originally British made. If you want the vintage look, but don't have the patience to collect and restore such pieces yourself, Florence & Florence is the place to come.
