Knight's hold quarterly auctions of sporting memorabilia at Leicester County Cricket Club, and the homepage lists both recent and forthcoming auctions. All areas of the website are open, including Results, and no subscription is required.

SPECIAL FEATURES

There is usually a link, in blue in the centre of the page, to highlights of recent auctions. Otherwise you need to search via the index in the left-of-homepage margin. At first glance, it appears extremely rudimentary, with only Home Pages, Cricket Memorabilia, Sporting Memorabilia and Results as options, but as soon as you click on any of these further drop-down menus appear.

Cricket tends to be where the main emphasis lies, with football in second place, though the balance of the list will change all the time, of course, as auctions come and go. Bidding can be done by post, fax, email or telephone and, of course, in person.

This auction house has good lists and a perfectly practical website.
