This site is an excellent centre for Research about Historical Clocks and Watches - especially makers and dates. However, one must subscribe to view the information (there are only a handful of free pages).

Subscription is £3.95 for 24 hours' viewing. If you want to subscribe for one year, however, its only £19.95. All subscriptions go into enhancing this non-profit website. If, however, you are prepared to write a page about a particular clock maker, you will be 'paid' with a day's free access.

A prime site but one where you would do well to have the list of research topics you are exploring well worked out before subscribing.
