Hare Styling Appeal

When it comes to raising money for worthy causes, the more imaginative the organisation, the better, and the Hair Styling Appeal absolutely fits the bill.

At two days old, Angelica Van Clarke was given a life-saving operation at Great Ormond Street Hospital. The Hare Styling Appeal has been set up by Karen Welman and Angelica's father, hairdresser Michael Van Clarke, to raise money for two new operating theatres for the Hospital.

Angelica, now aged 15 and in rude health (thanks to GOSH) drew the template hare which was sent out on canvasses for a selection of artists and celebrities to play with. The result was 200 original works of art, all of which are to be auctioned online. Anyone can bid, and all of the artwork is available to look at on the Hare Styling Appeal site. Twiggy, Sir Alex Ferguson, Jack Vettriano, Ronnie Wood, Tracy Emin, Cheryl Cole and many other familiar personalities have put paint to canvas for this hare-brained but loveable cause.
