Richly illustrated with the author's own excellent photographs, this beautiful garden design site showcases a musician's garden in Pennsylvania, USA. The text is warm and intelligent, and muses on the relationship between art and gardening.

The author, Lynn Purse, is a trained artist, musician and photographer as well as a lecturer in garden design and horticulture. Much of the information is from her previously published articles in the Pittsburgh Garden Place newsletter. They are well written and reliable, and are intended to be a 'guide and source of ideas' rather than a rule-book.

Color in the Garden and Creative Garden Design present a series of top class articles on plant combinations and design ideas. Subjects covered include the use of annuals, colour combinations, winter colour, and texture.These are full of great ideas and are well worth a look.
