National Botanic Garden of Wales

The National Botanic Garden of Wales near Swansea has now been open for five years. In company with their London and Edinburgh counterparts, there is alot to find on their website.

Garden visitors will be most interested in What to See. The Plants and Collections include:
the Great Glasshouse with collections of plants from Chile, Australia and the Cape, The Double Walled Garden with its story of the evolution of flowering plants, The Apothecaries Garden, which has a substantial collection of herbal plants and finally, the Woods of the World. In addition there are collections of hazel, cistus and Welsh rare plants.



As you might expect, The National Botanic Garden puts on exhibitions, events, workshops and a full programme of educational courses and events for children and adults.
