Brogdale - Home of the National Fruit Collections

Brogdale is home to the National Fruit Collections and this is their fascinating website. Based in Faversham in Kent, Brogdale has the largest collection of fruit trees in the world, with over 2000 different varieties of apple, hundreds of pear, plum, cherry and bush fruits as well as nuts and vines.



From the home page follow the link to Plant Centre with hundreds of varieties for sale which can be bought by visiting of ordered by email or by telephone.



Fruit Collection gives details of the National Fruit Collection, from apple to whitecurrant. A most interesting history is provided. The Collection is owned by DEFRA which provides funds for its maintenance and development.
