Exbury Nursery

Exbury Nursery, near Southampton, is attached to a great English garden. Bought and cultivated by Lionel de Rothschild, the garden itself extends to over 200 acres.

The nursery has an excellent web site with a wide range of azaleas, camellias and rhododendrons which can purchased online. Each is illustrated with a generous photograph. There are useful tips on potting and planting, pests and diseases and maintenance of the plants which you choose to buy.

The website has links to the site of Exbury itself with details of visiting and opening times (end February to end October). There is a new steam railway on which you can tour the garden.
