The Heather Society

The Heather Society was formed in 1963 and has a thriving world-wide membership. Their site is an exemplary one which informs the novice and interests the enthusiast, as well as giving details of the society.

It contains detailed and easy-to-use information on many different aspects of heather, including choosing, propagating and growing the plant. The different sections are well-maintained and updated monthly when indicated, otherwise seasonally or annually. The site is well thought out for ease of use with clear, well-organised text and pages of manageable size. Finding your way around is simple. There is an informative text introduction containing many quick links, or you can use the menu on the left. Clicking on the Heather Society logo will return you to the home page.

Your browser will need to be able to handle Java in order to search the heather guide and use the design planner.
