Broadleigh Bulbs

This busy site specialises in small bulbs and herbaceous plants. The nursery is based in Somerset and was established thirty years ago. They hold the largest collection of miniature daffodils, including the National Collection of Alec Gray hybrids (who started the nursery). It is a mail order company with online ordering available.


They produce two illustrated catalogues per annum, which can be sent. Alternatively, download it as a pdf file but this is text only. However, there is no need to despair as the site has a comprehensive picture gallery, which is growing all the time.


The display garden near Taunton is open Monday to Friday, visitors donate a contribution to charity. Bear in mind that there are only very few items for sale to callers, although orders can be picked up direct from them during the despatch season.


The Managing Director, Christine Skelmersdale, is building up an archive of articles on the site which are worthwhile. More will be added. She also lectures and you need to email her for information.
