Jane Rockett is the co-founder of interiors emporium, Rockett St George, an online shop offering an eclectic mix of homeware and gifts for its discerning style junkie customer base. They source an ever-changing supply of beautiful, quirky and sometimes surprising products to excite and quicken the pulse.

Best friends, Jane Rockett and Lucy St George set up their online homewares company almost ten years ago after many shopping trips, car boot finds and wine drinking led them to realise that they would be the perfect team to start up an online shop. Jane’s PR and photography skills combined with Lucy’s extensive retail experience proved to be an effective pairing. Add to that a very steep technical learning curve and rockettstgeorge.co.uk was launched in Sept 2007 with a small offering of homeware and gifts.

Today, Rockett St George is leading the way with its unique and quirky style, featuring regularly in magazines like Living Etc and Elle Decoration, as well as The Sunday Times and the Independent for its expert style and business advice. The recent success of its first ever pop-up shop and collaboration with Matthew Williamson and Blakes Hotel has led to the launch of 'RSG Events' in 2016 - with the first ever customer event taking place at the Hoxton Hotel. The drive to revitalise the interiors market by enabling customers to break free from chain store offerings continues today - with no plans to stop any time soon!

JANE'S FAVOURITE SITES

The Selby - I first discovered Todd Selby through his book, The Selby Is In Your Place, back in 2010 and quickly became a fan of his website. The Selby features photographs, paintings and videos of interesting people in creative spaces. Being a visual person, The Selby’s creative and humorous images really inspire me and offer a unique insight into some really original homes and lives.

Abigail Ahern Blog – Abigail's blog never fails to inspire: daily stories of her inspirational creative projects, the ups and downs of running a business, new designs, changes made to her beautiful home and top tips. Plus, I love hearing about her gorgeous dogs, Maud and Mungo. Having that personal touch makes a blog more real and insightful.

Monocle - Informative, international and interesting. I love that all the content is so forward thinking and innovative. It's a great site for keeping up to date on worldwide news, arts, design and culture.

Instagram – I am completely obsessed. I love it for lifestyle inspiration and meeting new people. You can travel the world through your phone. Instagram is a wonderful portrayal of our times. Anyone who knows me knows I am always posting or scrolling the rockettstgeorge feed!

Conde Nast Traveller - I have used concierge.com for years as a great source of reliably good hotels at varied price ranges. This has now been relaunched as Conde Nast Traveller which works very differently but is brilliant. I am as passionate about travel as I am about interiors and this is a great site to obtain ideas and plan new trips.

Mad About The House - Founder, Kate Watson Smyth has a lovely way with words. Her blog posts are always bursting with amazing imagery and advice, and I love having an insight into her own interior design progress.
