Moët & Chandon
Moët & Chandon is the one of the world's best known and most popular producers of both Champagne and quality sparkling wines from other regions. This stylish website offers excellent product information as well as more general introductions to Champagne and interesting articles for those wishing to visit the region. Simple navigation is provided by means of a panel on the left hand side of the screen, each section opening in a frame to the right. Watch out for some information panels which pop up as a separate little browser window.
SPECIAL FEATURES
The Champagne Region includes a Virtual Tour of the famous Moët cellars. Explore the 18 miles of cellars, travelling three levels beneath the streets and buildings of Epernay, in text and pictures. Cellars and Visits gives full tourist information. A Dinner in Epernay is a plug for Moët's beautiful Château de Saran, where private guests are entertained. That, unfortunately, is by invitation only, but the site does include a dozen or more mouth-watering haute-cuisine recipes listed in full.
Creating Fine Champagne explains the Moët philosophy and relates vintage conditions for the past few years. The section How Champagne is Made is a nice, succinct introduction to techniques and there is a Glossary of specific Champagne terms.
Our Champagnes offers label images, style guide, tasting notes and food matching suggestions for all the wines in the range.
La Boutique is Moët's partnership with Liquor.com, who will sell you wines from their range as well as accessories, but the $30.00 delivery fee might mean you are better off looking elsewhere.
OTHER FEATURES
Includes a Champagne FAQ with entries like ‘How much champagne do I need for a party?' and ‘What is the best way to chill champagne?' These come complete with answers of course. The section of the site entitled Moët and Fashion links to numerous fashion events around the world, sponsored by the company.

A very classy site for an image-conscious product, but there is no shortage of useful information here. Attractive, clean design allied to good content.
