Crisp brand launches election campaign

With election fever reaching its peak in the count down to 6th May 2010, popular hand-cooked crisps and chips brand REAL is launching a nationwide sampling programme. Taking place at shopping centres and major train stations, the election campaign will encourage consumers to vote with a choice of new ‘Politi-packs' displaying the faces of the three main political leaders: Gordon Brown, David Cameron and Nick Clegg.

The three politi-crisp flavours sampled will all be the same sea salt flavour, enabling consumers to pick a packet according to their favourite political leader.

CRISP-O-METRE

Results of the sampling campaign, which launches officially on 12th April, will be uploaded to REAL's specially designed website website www.realcrisps.com/election, where the ‘REAL Crisp-o-meter' ® will record which leader is winning the race, nationally, and regionally via map in party colours.

Those who miss the national sampling activity are still able to vote via the website by clicking the vote button and choosing their leader. Consumers voting on line will be in with a chance of winning a number of REAL tasty prizes, including Eurostar and Champney vouchers and LoveFilm subscriptions.

REAL CRISPS & CHIPS

REAL, launched in 1997 in South Wales and launched Real Chips, a range of natural hand-cooked chips, in 2005. In addition, this year REAL D'Lites, the low fat snack has been added to the range which is available in Boots Stores nationwide from this month.
