Enter Nom Nom Nom's charity raffle

To co-incide with its fourth annual cookery competition for food bloggers, writers and photographers, Nom Nom Nom has launched a special charity raffle to raise money for Action Against Hunger and support the 8 million people in East Africa currently in urgent need of assistance as a result of severe drought.

PRIZES

The raffle comprises a fantastic list of delicious food and drink related prizes, including dinner for two at Trader Vic's Restaurant on Park Lane, a wicker hamper full of Olives et Al goodies to the value of £100 and lunch for a week at any Leon Restaurant. A £10 donation will buy you one virtual raffle ticket toward the prize of your choice. Enter the raffle here.

THE COMPETITION

Nom Nom Nom's competition finals took place on Sunday 17th July, where pairs of aspiring cooks, bloggers and online foodies gathered at Cookery School in central London to create an office lunch, which could be sold in Rosalind's Kitchen (www.rosalindskitchen.co.uk), based around three basic principles: simplicity, seasonality and sustainability. ACTION AGAINST HUNGER

Nom Nom Nom organiser, Mecca Ibrahim, comments: "Nom Nom Nom celebrates good food and having fun, but we're always acutely aware that so many people cannot choose what to eat, or even have fresh supplies of water. Without bringing people down, we want to highlight Action Against Hunger's work and show what donations really mean to malnourished people around the world."

Action Against Hunger's Head of Events and Community Fundraising, Caroline Crowther, said: "We are thrilled that Nom Nom Nom has returned for its fourth year and has yet again chosen to support Action Against Hunger. It is always such a fun event which puts food bloggers in the position of a chef for a change! Our Love Food Give Food campaign is all about taking peoples passion for food and turning it into action against hunger and the participants at Nom Nom Nom really embrace this concept."

Action Against Hunger's life-saving programmes around the world depend on the generous support of our donors. Stay informed about Action Against Hunger's cutting-edge solutions to child hunger. www.actionagainsthunger.org.uk
