Jean Christophe Novelli at his farmhouse in Hertfordshire. Recently resigned as Chef Patron at the Auberge du Lac, the star of Hell's Kitchen will be concentrating his efforts on his successful cookery school, alongside other projects.
A day at the Novelli Academy gives you the experience of working alongside a world leading chef, which will surely inject some pzzazz into your cooking at home.
These one day classes are informal and start at 10 o'clock with coffee. Groups are kept small, allowing you to learn first hand from the maestro. Jean Christophe works through some of his signature dishes, interspersed with gourmet gossip. The day isn't too arduous as lunch plays an important part and is served with matched wines. The day finishes around 5 p.m., each student leaving with a goodie bag, which includes recipe cards and other bits and bobs.
Residential classes will be added to the schedule soon. The Academy can organise corporate and exclusive group days. Prices start at £350 and classes can be booked online.
