Zarela

A highly regarded, Manhattan-based restauranteur and food-writer, Zarela has been described as the 'True Goddess of Mexican Cuisine'. Some of the site is relevant only to the US, but enthusiasts of Mexican cooking may enjoy it. Her beautiful book, The Food and Life of Oaxaxa, is featured here. The Recipe of the Month is a seasonal choice, based on traditional festivities when appropriate: there's Zarela's recipe for Day of the Dead bread, holiday cookies and stuffed poblano chiles with walnut sauce, among others.
