Animal Welfare Footprint

Animal Welfare Footprint is the RSPCA's Animal Welfare Indicators website. Every year the RSPCA publishes a report where animal welfare in the UK has improved, worsened or not changed. This site aims to raise the profile of this urgent agenda and how the consumer can do his bit.

GET THE KIDS INVOLVED

Everyone has an impact on animal welfare, either directly or indirectly. To see what your Animal Welfare Footprint is like, get your kids to take the fun quiz. Each animal welfare indicator is awarded a green, red or amber light and once complete, you'll be given an overall total, demonstrating your contriubtion.

FREE RANGE EGGS AND FREEDOM FOOD

When buying ready-made products that contain eggs, do you look to see if they're free range? When buying meat or fish, do you choose a Freedom Food labelled product? It's these little things that give animals a voice. Do you look to see if products have been tested on animals and if so, put the product back on the supermarket shelf?

This can be read online or downloaded. This annual report assesses how the UK is performing with regard to the welfare of its animals, highlighting the diverse range of welfare issues that impact on the UK's many different animals.
