Woodlands Organic Farm

Woodlands Farm is in the Fens in Lincolnshire, specialising in organic produce: vegetable boxes, Bronze turkeys, Lincoln Red beef and lamb, a recent addition. Andrew Dennis is a past winner of the Soil Association's Organic Food Producer of the Year. He is also one of Rick Stein's Food Heroes.

Woodlands Farm travels to Farmers' Markets in East Anglia so check the site for locations and days.

Woodlands Farm turkeys are famed for their flavour and get snapped up quickly as Christmas approaches. They are brought up in small groups, thus reducing the risk of disease, and are allowed to graze in paddocks. Their every need is catered for and they are truly happy birds, all of which is reflected in the eating. They are delicious.

You can also buy organic beef boxes which are from Andrew's herd of Lincoln Red cattle. The meat is marbled and boasts great texture and quality. Andrew has recently introduced Lincolnshire Longwool sheep and is in the process of bringing them on but whilst the herd develops, he has brought in some organic lambs from Derbyshire. These are being finished off in the green pastures surrounding Woodlands Farm and will be ready for distribution in weighted boxes soon.

Woodlands Farm pioneers the Box Scheme in East Anglia and delivers to a wide catchment area. Click on the map to see if you are in the delivery area, if not telephone them.

There is a good selection of recipes and the Woodlands Farm Chronicle brings you up to date with Andrew Dennis' travels and organic thoughts.
