Lower Hurst Farm

Lower Hurst Farm can be found in the Peak District, where the owners farm a herd of Hereford cattle. For the last fifteen years they have specialised in high quality beef. They have been fully organic since 1998. You can rest assured that all beef sold from Lower Hurst is home bred on the farm. They are therefore able to control exactly what they sell.

The site is updated daily according to stock availability. You can see how many portions they have of each item in stock, which is reassuring in a way. This is not blanket production but a high quality enterprise.

The choice of cuts is extensive, with some pies available too. You can also buy lamb. All meat is frozen and arrives the following day.

The company has received much good press; it is a shame that they choose not to blow their own trumpet on the website. And we couldn't find the recipes but it is a good place to buy your beef.
