Country Markets Ltd is a co-operative organisation that enables home producers to sell items locally at over 400 markets dotted around the country in England, Wales and the Channel Isles. With its roots going back to 1919 when the first W.I. Market took place in Lewes, food markets have come a long way since and Country Markets now has a turnover of around £10 million with about £9 million returned to the producers.
