Brindisa

Brindisa has been importing high quality Spanish foods to Britain for the past fourteen years. It first opened a stall in Borough Market in 1999, followed by a shop in 2001. This can be found in the heart of Exmouth Market (next to that hallowed institution, Moro) in Clerkenwell.

Even though the website is aimed at the wholesale market, it gives you an idea of the range that Brindisa stocks, literally the best that Spain can provide. Its range of products is wide, covering beans, preserved vegetables, oils, chocolate, fish (the famous Ortiz anchovies) and more. It is a shame that you can't order online, nor is there a facility to check where you can find their goods. Perhaps it's only a matter of time?

SPECIAL FEATURES

Supplier focus
highlights one of Brindisa's producers, with a lengthy, yet highly informative essay. We are unsure how often this gets changed.

Recipes is where the site comes into its own as a resource for some delicious Spanish dishes, using Brindisa ingredients. Recipes are defined by ingredient, and there is plenty to choose from.
