Matching Food and Wine

Fiona Beckett has recently re-launched her site aiming to set the world to rights as regards matching the right wine with food. Fiona is a contributing editor of Decanter, the best wine magazine around, and its much lauded website. She has also contributed to Delia Smith's website, along with writing for several of our broadsheets and the author of several books, which can be purchased online.

Her aim is to unravel the mystery of wine and food matching. In time, this new website will become a comprehensive resource, which is not just confined to wine but also looks at pairing all kinds of drinks including beer, cocktails, coffee and soft drinks with the right food. Her expertise is great and the internet the ideal place to share this.

There two distinct parts to the site, one which is free and offers a general overview of food and wine pairing, along with book reviews, a weekly article on the subject and recipes. However, Fiona Beckett is offering visitors membership of the site, which gives them personal advice and more besides, with full access to the premium content of the site.

Membership costs £24.99 per annum but at the time of review, there was an introductory offer. On becoming a member, you can download a free book, read Fiona's latest pairing tips, take part in the busy discussion forums. Fiona also lists some of her favourite places to eat, both in the UK and abroad.

The usp though of membership is that you have access to personal advice on what to drink with the menus you're planning and you couldn't turn to a better person. Fiona Beckett will be offering special events to attend as well as offers.
