Jill Dupleix

Jill Dupleix's clean looking site tells you all you need to know about Jill: the books she has written, where to find her recipes, restaurant reviews and more. Jill is The Times food columnist, a job that she does brilliantly and which has brought her to the notice of a much wider audience, thank heavens.

Jill is Australian and you can feel that influence in her cooking. Expect fresh flavours and surprisingly, she has managed to transcribe that feeling to her website. We really like it, the design is great: good strong colours, clear photography and of course, even better recipes.

Jill is multi-talented in that she shoots her own
food (photography), no mean feat in these competitive days and the quality of images on the site is excellent. She is married to Terry Durack, the restaurant critic for The Independent and European Editor for Australian Gourment Traveller. So she has been able to draw on his expertise and include restaurant reviews of her most favourite places in London, Sydney and Melbourne. The Travel section is a personal selection of restaurants, shops in Madrid, Verona and Paris. Worth taking a look if you want to find somewhere off the beaten track.

SPECIAL FEATURES

Recipes are what we are really after and although the site is still in its infancy, there are plenty to choose from, but it will grow with time. The link through to the food and drink section of Timesonline has a greater selection of recipes. You will be able to find your Jillfix on either of these sites but don't forget, there are no pics on The Times site.
