Amy Willcock

It is plain for all to see that Amy Willcock has taken on the mantle of The Nigella of Aga Cookery (The Independent) with much grace and elegance, bringing contemporary cooking to Agas. On her bright website, you have the chance to learn all about Amy.


Amy is American and arrived here in 1980 and her love of the Aga soon took off. For the past decade, she has been dispensing her well honed knowledge to eager learners at Aga Know How Workshops, which are held on the Isle of Wight, where she lives, and at other locations in the UK. Her four highly successful books are best sellers in the Aga wars but she beats the competition hands down anyway. For those wanting of taster of Amy's recipes, there is a selection in Cooking, along with some Entertaining ideas. Amy's regular food and lifestyle column for The Shooting Gazette can be read online.


Amy has designed Chic Kit, a range of sunny textiles for the kitchen, which include aprons, place mats, tea towels. These are distributed by ICTC. Details of her cookware for ranges, produced by Mermaid, can also be found here, although it is not possible to buy them through her own site.


Amy's husband runs The George Hotel, Yarmouth and some of her courses include a night's accommodation at this sea fronted hotel and looking at the pictures and menus it is hard not to feel her sunny influence.
