The Foodworks Cookery School is a state-of-the-art, purpose-built cooking school, complete with AGA, that is just ten minutes from both Cheltenham and Cirencester, offering courses for all abilities using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Founded by Harriet Elwes, a keen amateur baker, the school sits on the edge of a quintessentially English country estate.

WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?

Cooking days at the Foodworks are more than a day out; they are refreshing and fun, where students are at the receiving end of superb tuition, are treated to great food at elevenses and lunch, whilst also picking up some new skills and recipes.

WHAT'S ON OFFER?

Classes are small and very hands-on, with a wide variety of courses on offer. The atmosphere is friendly and unintimidating and each student has the opportunity to work alongside the chefs, whose aim is to maximise your learning and fill you with confidence. Sample classes include:-

Bread Making - A very popular course, run by globetrotting artisan Master Baker Maurice Chaplais who will teach students how to make a number of different bread types.
Express Dinner Parties - Learn the skills needed to create a large range of recipes.
Budding Chefs - A day's course for kids.
Fishworks - Fish at its best, learn how to prepare a selection of cooked and raw fish dishes.
Winter Warmers - Comfort food with true British seasonal produce.
Men in the Kitchen - Good sound foundation to cooking a number of starters, main courses, desserts and cakes using a variety of ingredients.
Game On and Knife Skills - A new course covering skills and technical ability associated with butchery. Learn how to carve, dice, bone and fillet.
Corporate - A great way to entertain clients or in-house team building.
