Chatsworth Cookery Book by Rachel Green
Rachel Green's Chatsworth Cookery Book celebrates all that is good about local produce with a collection of inspirational seasonal recipes.Rachel is a country girl at heart, a farmer's daughter from Lincolnshire, and she has done much to get Lincolnshire's produce in the public eye. She is the official Champion of Tastes of Lincolnshire. Wandering westwards towards Derbyshire saw Rachel teaming up with Chatsworth in 2001 when she was asked by the Dowager Duchess of Devonshire to run some demonstrations at the highly successful farm shop.
This book is a culmination of over 80 recipes that pay homage to Chatsworth's produce. Divided by season, each chapter has recipes that are not only easy to follow but let the ingredients sing for themselves. The recipes are classic in style with a contemporary twist. It is not hard to imagine that if this were your only cookbook, you could happily use it ad infinitum without getting bored. To tempt, lamb with courgettes, pink grapefruit and feta cheese followed by gooseberry and elderflower cheesecake would make for a perfect summer lunch.
We imagine that a copy of Rachel Green's Chatsworth Cookery Book will be found in most visitors' bags as they leave Chatsworth after a happy day out. The good thing though is that you don't have to go there to buy a copy, as you can buy it from amazon as well.
