The Food Photographer of the Year Awards 2012
Calling all budding photographers, amateur and professional, who like snapping food, there is still time to enter the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year Awards.
The first of its kind, entries are flying in from photographers around the world. With an impressive line-up of judges, including Michelin starred chefs and respected food journalists, the winner will pick up a cheque for £5000. There will be an exhibition at the Mall Galleries at the end of April, giving the public the chance to see some of the jaw-droppingly beautiful images. For a taster, the Daily Telegraph is hosting a small selection of entries online.

Food photography is a hot topic right now, and if it's not food bloggers zooming in on their food in restaurants, Sheila Dillon of the BBC's Food Programme has devoted two shows to it and even Jamie Oliver got in on the act with a competition for amateurs at the end of last year, not to mention the classes and courses devoted to the subject.

If you're creative, enjoy food and photography, now is your chance to stand head to head with the professionals. Entries must be received by 31st January, so hurry. To find out more and to register, visit www.pinkladyfoodphotographeroftheyear.co.uk.
