The Beauty of a Second

MontBlanc is running a short film competition, The Beauty of A Second and every second really counts. The winners were announced in March.



190 years ago, Nicolas Rieussec discovered how to record time within a fifth of a second, using the Chronograph. In celebration of this, The Beauty of A Second is offering budding filmmakers the opportunity to make a film lasting no longer than one second of time. If this sounds impossible, remember that great films are often made from the beauty of small things, and a second can be longer than you think.



Any type of film is accepted, whether using the latest film technology or a simple camera phone and each entrant can submit up to ten separate films. The only criteria is that movement in the film must last for one second.
