Ask Oxford

This site is obsessed with the English language. From the homepage you will see articles about the nature of language and it's usage. At the time of writing they included articles about text messaging on mobile phones and quotations about Cricket. You will also find a Word of the Day, a Quote of the Week, a Quiz and a Crossword. However, as a reference tool you need to wander around the links at the top of the page. They're green and turn orange when your mouse pointer moves over them.

It never seems to go quite far enough though. All the sections are interesting as far as they do go. But lots of items seem a little like site padding.
