Granta
Granta is a quarterly magazine of new writing that has a reputation for attracting the finest writers around. It's Best of Young British Novelists list, which have been published every ten years since 1983, has become a celebrated part of literary culture.
THE BACKGROUND
Granta began life as a student periodical at Cambridge University in 1889. It went on to publish the early work of writers such as Michael Frayn and Sylvia Plath. In 1979 it was reborn as a magazine of new writing. It has become very well known for the quality and variety of its fiction and non-fiction from writers as diverse as Bill Bryson, Ryszard Kapuściński and Arundhati Roy.
