National Union of Journalists

30,000 members make this the largest journalists' union in the world. The site is unofficial, although it is maintained by the London freelance Branch of the NUJ. The official site, when it's up and running will be found at http://www.nuj.org.uk.


It's a very simple looking site and wouldn't win any design awards but it does load quickly and navigation is fairly straightforward. The site is split into three sections, each containing links to further content. Under the heading Update you can find links to the most recent industry news and issues. The Online Departments are more permanent sections of information and includes details of how to join the NUJ, and there is also a useful Oft-visited pages section, the best of these are covered below. Many of the pages have links within them, to keep you moving until you find exactly what you're looking for.
