Songkick is a live music listings site that lets you know where and when your favourite band is playing.

Founded in 2007 by Cambridge graduates Ian Hogarth, Pete Smith and Michelle You, Songkick is very simple. Just give the site your email and you'll be kept up to date with the gigs you want to see.

Founded in 2007 by Cambridge graduates Ian Hogarth, Pete Smith and Michelle You, Songkick is very simple. Just give the site your email and you'll be kept up to date with the gigs you want to see.
Songkick will present you with everything you need to know: upcoming concerts, photos, videos and posters, as well links to other similar artists and info on past concerts. If you sign up to the site you can track all the artists, venues and festivals that you like.

Of course, this wouldn't be a modern website without a social networking element. You can share your live music history or 'gigography,' to use the site's splendid neologism, track other songkickers, add events, leave messages or plan the next gig.
Songkick is a superb use of the internet. It's purposeful, co-operative, well-designed, easy to use and clears up all the space in the brain that would otherwise be devoted to feeling frustrated at having missed out on another superb gig. If you do fail to see someone live it, won't be this website's fault.
