Classical Net provides broad overviews of major composers and their works, combined with reviews of recordings, performances and interpretations. It's a paragon of clarity, so helpful that the searchable index includes answers to questions such as 'what is an index?' The site is arranged into seven parts: Basic Repertoire list, Classical CD Buying Guide, Recommended classical CDs, Composer Works/Data, Reviews & Articles, Books & scores and Classical Music links.
