Venice Biennale

Since 1895, the Venice Biennale has been at the forefront of contemporary art. Every two years the glorious capital of the Veneto gives itself over to a celebration of culture, which even manages to dwarf the Edinburgh Festival.

THE WEBSITE

There is, of course, nothing like attending the Biennale itself, but for those who can't make it, the website is full of information about what's going on, giving you some insight into the themes and personalities of the current event. Registered users of the site can participate in competitions, get involved in discussions and subscribe to the newsletter.

LA BIENNALE CHANNEL

The Channel gives you a flavour of the event, without you having to leave your armchair. There are lots of videos to be found here, interviews with some of artists involved, and an educational section for those who might need to motivate students.
