The US version of this ticket agency is a bit sluggish, but the UK version came up with the goods sharpish. You can buy online (server is secure), and there are plenty of featured events and news stories. Not only a site for rock concerts, ticketmaster is the place to buy seats for sport's events and the ballet too. Gigs, theatre events, clubs and the like are all divided up into genres, or you can search by town, name and date. You can join their email newsletter list, too, but can't tailor it to your particular tastes. That aside, Ticketmaster is bright, breezy, easy to use, comprehensive and reliable - everything you'd expect from the company's 18 years in the business.
