Channel 4

The Channel 4 website offers access to some of the most innovative programming in British television.

ON DEMAND

There's plenty to arrest the attention on the website of the UK TV channel that gave us The Comic Strip Presents, Brass Eye, Spaced, Dispatches, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Father Ted, GBH, Brookside, Shameless and Countdown. As well as listings and blogs, the On Demand service lets you catch up with programmes you may have missed. There's pin protection enabling parents to control access to programmes for their children.

The best thing about the On Demand service is that it also lets you watch some of the best programmes in the Channel 4 archive. There are some real gems here like Iraq drama The Mark of Cain, Samantha Morton's directorial debut The Unloved, Dennis Potter's last drama Cold Lazarus, Nick Broomfield's Ghosts, Peep Show, Green Wing and Drop the Dead Donkey.

THE VARIOUS 4s

The Channel 4 website acts as a portal to Film4, E4, More4 and 4Music, so in the unlikely event that you find nothing of interest on the main site, check out one of the increasingly popular subsidiaries.
