Aardman

The Bristol-based animation company Aardman has been responsible for some of the most brilliant work in the area of stop-motion and clay animation, from Morph to Creature Comforts to the multi-Oscar winning adventures of Wallace & Gromit. It is Aardman's combination of wit, visual flair, storytelling skill and beautiful production values which made Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit one of the best films of 2005 and the studio's masterpiece.

AARDMAN ONLINE

The Aardman website has recently been revamped and is as colourful and noisy as you would expect, with plenty of characters passing by as you move from page to page. You can read a history of the studio, shop for some Wallace & Gromit merchandise or get the low-down on life at Aardman from people who work in departments ranging from model making to sets. You can also watch some of the excellent short films and commercials Aardman has made or listen to the engaging podcasts (more like videocasts) which offer insight into the history and development of the studio.

AARDMAN DIGITAL

This online space represents Aardman's commitment to digital content. You'll find games here, websites dedicated to some of Aardman's most beloved characters like Shaun the Sheep, as well as forums and online communities offering fans the chance to discuss their obsessions. Take a look at the excellent Cracking Ideas site, created for the Intellectual Property Office, but make sure you turn the volume down before you click on the link.
