Waterstone's

The layout of this site may lead visiting amazon customers to assume that this site is simply a duplicate, but Waterstone's have succeeded in putting put their own stamp on their online presence and book shop.

It does, as Amazon, offer an excellent service for searching and buying books online, recommending reads you might like, and providing simple navigation so as not to confuse the customer with a mass of products.

Being tailored specifically to books, and specifically to the Waterstone's stores in particular gives the site a more local feel than one gets with Amazon, however. With magazine style articles and other features, such as book signings in Waterstone's branches, a Find a Branch facility complete with maps and an excellent news section. This is a well created site, perfect for all bookphiles.
